Biography
Andy started his engineering experience as a technician apprentice with Feranti Edinburgh, and after completing the apprenticeship, worked as a Development Engineer at the Silverknowes Lab block on Robotic handling. The role was to understand the limitations of robotics handling on existing product designs and to develop new methods to automate the assembly of Gyroscope components. Completed a production line process for assembly of a variety of gyroscope motor stators.
Andy joined SMC over 30 years ago and has worked in various roles relating to sales, supporting both customers and distributors and is now part of the Key Accounts Team.
