Expanding Applications Team

January 2019

SP Automation & Robotics designs and manufactures factory automation systems for global blue-chip clients in the pharmaceutical, medical, packaging, food, personal care, plumbing and tobacco industries. There has been a steep rise in technology, and more and more companies are looking to invest in automation to remain competitive, ensuring their products meet demand and increase quality.

As a company, we have seen an increase in enquiry level from our clients, and to ensure we can keep up with our demand, we have had to expand our applications team and would like to welcome Adam Laoud officially. A great addition to the SP Automation & Robotics team, which will help us react to our clients’ requests even quicker.

I knew I wanted to work for SP Automation & Robotics after a site visit in my previous role and seeing the high level of automated machinery which was far more complex than what I was designing.  I wanted to progress to a level where I was involved with the design and build of autonomous machines in this type of industry and seen SP Technology would be the best place for that.  I’m looking forward to working with the SP Automation & Robotics team and meeting our customers and developing our solutions to suit their requirements. Adam Laoud.

Adam joins us from his last role as a trainee design project engineer, having completed a degree in aeromechanical engineering at Strathclyde University. He has been involved with mechanical design projects relating to new machinery or modifications to existing machinery. Adam will work closely alongside Matt Stevenson, applications manager, to develop concepts for our client’s bespoke automated systems.
