Automated Pharma & Medical Machines
July 2018
Our cleanroom automated systems can comply with 21 CFR part 11 regulations. Our projects include pharmaceutical manufacturing automation systems. Intense competition, higher production requirements, and a strict regulatory environment pressure pharmaceutical manufacturers to optimise production.
The pharmaceutical industry is facing significant challenges. Speed to market is more important than ever to reach new, emerging markets, compete with generics, and maximise the value of products before their patents expire. Our pharmaceutical manufacturing automation, process control, and information solutions achieve flexibility, optimised production, and regulatory compliance while being 21 CFR part 11 compliant.
One of our pharmaceutical manufacturing automation projects involved the autoloading of devices. A 6-axis robot removed multiple receptacles from preloaded trays and loaded them into our assembly system. The devices were then weighed offline and placed back into the machine. The following process involved filling the device with an accurate liquid level using a servo-driven pump.
Following this, the devices are transferred again to a second weigh station to ensure the correct fluid level has been dispensed. They are then automatically screw-capped. The completed devices are then loaded onto an SP Automation & Robotics automatic labelling system for 360° label wrap, with full serialisation label inspection for track-and-trace.
