SP builds its 700th machine.
SP Automation & Robotics (SP Technology) reached another milestone when we designed, built and installed our 700th machine.
The project involved a plastics production company, which required a system to pad print marks onto plastic units.
The system required bowl feeders to feed the units into an escapement position, which would take them to a pre-marking plasma treatment area where they were treated to ensure maximum ink adhesion, then the product is pad printed. Once printed, the units were passed through a vision system to remove any faulty units and reject them into the rejection bins.
This system processes 400 units per minute, improving the client’s throughput and quality.
